Contact Info provides different ways to contact a place.
There are several reasons that a place may not have a phone:
- Is a kiosk.
- Offers emergency services and is primarily reached through 911 or other shared toll-free numbers.
- Does not have a landline.
- Is part of a chain that only publishes toll-free numbers.
- The place asked us not to publish their phone number.
Infogroup maintains compliance with Do Not Call legislation. According to the Federal Trade Commission Bureau of Consumer Protection: "The National Do Not Call Registry is only for personal phone numbers. Business-to-business calls and faxes are not covered by the National Do Not Call Registry."
All fax numbers are collected from public sources. Even so, it is a good idea to ensure usage of this data is in compliance with any laws, rules, or regulations (such as the Junk Fax Prevention Act of 2005).
While we will remove fax numbers, if requested by the place, it is your responsibility to manage an opt-out process and stop sending faxes to numbers that request removal.
