All Data Axle API requests require an authentication token to identify legitimate users. To create an authentication token, start from Account Settings tokens page to generate a token.
Tokens must be included with each API request as the
X-AUTH-TOKEN HTTP header. The test call below returns a count but zero records. When ready to proceed further, remove the limit parameter.
curl -H "X-AUTH-TOKEN: 767b8764438e2a5fef2ca904" https://data-axle.com/api/1/places?limit=0
NOTE: Elsewhere in the API documentation, the
X-AUTH-TOKEN header element is omitted for brevity.
