To celebrate the holidays and show appreciation for their loyalty program members, Marriott Bonvoy created their “Give the Gift” email series. The campaign shared special offers and ideas for travel, and unique gifts for loved ones during the winter season. The 4-part series was themed around giving the gift of time, gear, travel and points – offering ideas for creating magic moments with friends and family through incredible experiences and unique items.
The campaign incorporated unique design elements to thank members with offers and provide ideas that encourage travel during the holiday season. Winter-themed animated graphics, gorgeous travel photography, and an icy-blue color pallet engaged audience members and inspired travelers’ holiday spirit.
Marriott Bonvoy’s holiday series generated unique open rates that were 125% higher than the average for the quarter and a unique click rate that was 89% higher than the average for the quarter. Finally, the campaign produced a 16% increase in Cyber Week sales year-over-year.
